What Human Jobs I Think
Will Be Replaced By Machines Within The Next Twenty Years.
I think it’s obvious that a lot of jobs
are being and will continue to be replaced by machines. I also
think it’s obvious that with all these new machines come new
jobs for people.
Allow me
to explain. Every machine must be designed by an engineer. Or
in many cases a team of engineers. Once the design is complete,
a prototype must be assembled by a person or by many people.
This prototype is then tested. After testing, reports are sent
back to the engineers who initially designed the machine to have
the design perfected. At this point another prototype must be
assembled and tested. Once the machine is proven to be fully
functional, the machines are put on the market.
These
machines then need to be fabricated, assembled and transported
to the job site. Humans do all of which.
Of course,
over time, these human jobs turned into machine jobs do in fact
outnumber the amount of jobs created.
However, in
my opinion, most jobs that can be replaced by machines have
already been replaced. The only jobs that can be done by
machines are those who never change. Machines can only be
programmed to do one task. Therefore any job that requires moral
judgment, the need to differentiate, or even more than one level
of thought, cannot be done by any machine or robot.
In
conclusion, I believe it’s safe to say that, unless a robot that
is capable of feeling everything a human being can feel, and
thinking as a human being does is designed. There will be very
few human jobs replaced by robots or machines within the next
twenty years.
