Would you prefer a 100% online English course to a conventional course? Advantages and disadvantages

Having to choose whether to be on an 100% online English course or to take part in a
conventional English course is sometimes a difficult decision to make. It all depends on the type of person you are; whether you’re more independent as a learner or an individual who needs comes assistance at times. Personally, over all, I would choose the conventional learning environment. There are so many advantages and disadvantages towards making this decision.

A good advantage to be in a conventional English course would be the fact that you can get help if and when needed. The teacher would be close by to assist you whenever you need help with anything or have any questions to ask. While having an online course, it would be harder to ask questions if needed because the teacher is not present. Then you would need to turn to a friend for help or even parents if really needed. Also being in a classroom, there are other students in the class that can help you. Being in a classroom setting also gives you the chance to get to know other people.

Having to be in a classroom setting within a certain time of day would be a disadvantage. If the person is really tired, then they wouldn’t want to be there and also they would have difficulty in learning. Some people work very well during the night and some during the morning. As for me, I don’t mind either one.

Online learning can benefit a lot of people. Some people work better during their own time; without the feeling of being under pressure of any kind when doing their work in class. This involves responsibility; having to know what needs to be accomplished and when to be completed by. I, myself least enjoy doing work during class time when assigned. I tend to work better on my own time while doing homework.

There are many other advantages and disadvantages towards having to choose to participate an online English course or a conventional course. As for me, I think being in a conventional English course would be good because I gives me a chance to ask teacher questions so I understand better. This would also give me the chance to meet others as to staying at home, knowing the same people. It all depends on the type of person you are. You have to weigh the pros and cons then decide what you like better.
