How has the internet changed the world? (positive / negative)

 The internet has become a great asset in today’s society. It has had a dramatic and

positive impact on the world. Communication has become a lot faster, production of goods and services has been drastically improved, and a huge opportunity for employment has been created.
            With the internet you are able to have conversations with people anywhere in the world without even having to pick up a phone.  It has programs where you can talk instantly to someone on the other side of world without having to worry about remembering a phone number or getting a hold of someone. The internet has something called email, where you can just type a message and send it to someone and it is stored on their computer until they have an opportunity to check it.  Internet is a great way to talk to people without having to worry about how long you can talk or how much it will cost you.

A great thing about the internet for consumers and customers is that you are able to order whatever you might need for everyday use, right off the internet. Consumers can go right to the manufacturer’s website and order the supplies they need without having to speak with anyone. Customers can simply go to the website of the store they are interested in (if the company has set up a website to order products from) and order what they are looking for and have it delivered right to their doorstep or office. Having the luxury of constant availability of all goods and services is great, simply because it is faster and much more accurate to get what you want when you want.

One of the greatest things the internet has provided to the world is the availability of jobs.  It has given people the opportunity to search and research employment possibilities all over the world. People can now work from home and have all the same accessibility as they would if they were working at an office.  Because of the internet, people who may once have had limited access to job searching now have unlimited possibilities in finding employment. 

When all's said and done, the internet has done great things for the world today and has made life a lot less complicated for a lot of people. Now that we have been exposed to the positive impact of the internet it would be hard to live without it.
